Top Bottom Finder

SETTING MANUAL

1/ What is the Top Bottom Finder indicator?

Introduction:

Top Bottom Finder applies a time-tested Kernel Smoothing technique to filter out small, erratic price swings and focus solely on meaningful market moves. As the first indicator built on probability theory, it evaluates the likelihood of trend reversals by analyzing the distribution of past prices. This sophisticated smoothing algorithm not only cleanses noise from the data but also calculates the probability of new trends emerging, giving you a powerful, data-driven edge in forecasting market shifts.

Benefits:

  • Alert Dispatch: Sends alerts the moment the market hits its tops or bottoms.
  • Trend Reversal Detection: Identifies trend changes at the perfect moment, so you can skyrocket your profits without worrying about delayed signals.
  • False Signal Filtering: Removes misleading alerts efficiently to boost prediction accuracy.

Data Series

  • Input series Select the market or instrument to run the indicator on (e.g., ES 03-25, EURUSD, AAPL).

Setup

  • Account NT8 account name.
  • Calculate Determines how often the indicator calculates:
  • On each tick: Updates in real time with every market tick (fastest response).
  • On bar close: Updates only after the bar closes (reduces noise).
  • Label Name that will appear in your chart’s indicator list.

  • Maximum bars look back Sets how many historical bars the indicator can reference.
  • Bars Required to Trade: The minimum number of bars the indicator needs before generating valid signals.

Start behavior Defines how the indicator loads at the start of a session (calculate immediately or wait for full data).

Enabled  Turns the indicator ON or OFF without removing it from the chart.

Parameters

  • Band width Sets how far the indicator’s calculation bands extend. Wider bands can reduce false signals; narrower bands are more sensitive.
  • Price The price type used for calculation (Close, High, Low, Median, etc.).
  • Line Color 1/2 Colors of the top/bottom marker lines.
  • Arrow Up Color / Arrow Down Color The colors of the up and down arrows that indicate reversal signals.
  • Arrow Font Size Size of the arrows on your chart. Increase for better visibility.
  • ATR Period for SL Shift Number of bars used for ATR calculation to adjust stop loss.
  • SL Shift Coefficient Multiplier applied to ATR to determine stop loss distance.
  • Show TP/SL  If enabled, displays suggest take profit and stop loss levels on the chart.
  • TP Color / SL Color Colors for the take profit and stop loss lines.
  • TP/SL Font Size Size of the text labels for TP and SL.
  • Max Bars to Calculate Limits how many bars the indicator processes to improve performance.
